To start with, this is the sunset I get to see every night when I get home! Kevin and Sue your new house is going to be superb and the view is just incredible! 

If I told you that this place is so huge, like waaaaaay HUUUUUUUGE, then times that by a thousand and maybe you'd understand what i'm talking about. LA is an incredible place. 

This is the beautiful surrounds it has, and smack in the middle is a huge city!

When there is no smog you can see for miles. Since its been winter here there are even snow capped mountains in the distance. 

You can't get anywhere near the sign. Its fenced off and there is a cop car parked right there for any chancers! The cops here are no joke either. They don't take bribes and don't like jokes! Or maybe just South Africans!

Home shopping....when I got here we had nothing for the house but a bed, fridge, sheets and towels...thanks to Ikea and other places we now have lots of things!

 Walmart, well if I told you I was totally disappointed. I had been lead to believe that I would see ass-crack and white trash and all sorts of mangy, nasty, disgusting people in there...like you do on those Walmart e-mails that circulate....but nothing....not one dodgy person. I was completely unimpressed!!!

 Everyone just parks willy-nilly all over the side of the road. Its so hectic!

Venice Beach...Wow! What a place! So this is apparently where all the wanna-be Hollywood types go and hang out hoping some scout will find them and make them rich and famous. But it is also home to a bunch of people who do tricks and put on shows and do weird things. Its just crazy. So you see the tall guy with the cargo shorts and white T-shirt. He is trying to "Make it Big in Japan"! Jokes, that's Kyle, the dude next to him is an artist and he was actually pretty good, but he needed Kyle to be a volunteer token white guy or whatever!

They have people playing instruments, selling artwork, playing volleyball - the beaches are just gorgeous. 

So for $30 you can get a green card, which means you get a card issued by a doctor so you can legally smoke weed. these guys advertise that you should get a green card for only $30!

So I got my drivers license today 2/4/2013...second time lucky (like I didn't get enough mockery about failing it the first time)!! Anyway, they call the testing place the DMV and the people that do your tests where these lab coats and aviators and are seriously hardcore! Man, no wonder I failed the first time....the intimidation!!!!
