Risata Resort - Bali

Thank you Kevin and Susan for this wonderful, luxurious week at the Risata Resort and Spa. It has been such a pleasure!

All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Its been a very long time since we've had 4 fresh towels everyday, a fridge stocked with water, room service and all the other amenities.

Gili Islands

The Gili Islands are truly superb! There are 3 islands, Gili Meno, Gili Air and Gili Trawangan. We were on Trawangan - the party island. It was absolute chaos. teaming with tourists and parties. We couldn't get accommodation. Everywhere was full so we just rocked up hoping for the best. So we walked around and the first place we stopped said they had a room! how lucky??? Apparently people had been sleeping on the beach because they couldn't find accommodation!

There are no cars on Gili, only bicycles and horse pulled carts!

The mielie lady...they best braaied mielies ever. No one knows what a mielie is South East Asia...they call it corn!
