Wat Pho, Bangkok

Bangkok: The most diverse metropolitan city i've ever been to and the hottest by far as well.

Amulet Market

Fried banana, fried anything you can imagine.

Shrimp by the kg!

Hundreds of thousands of curios to be sold

Dried fish and sea creatures - absolutely revolting.

REVOLTING

Wat Po - Temples and Reclining Buddha

I cannot even begin to describe the size of this Buddha.

The feet are made from Mother of Pearl

This is known as the reclining Buddha - maybe this gives you some idea as to how big it is.

Dropping coins into the pots - its some sort of meditation.

Buddha's hair - such detail.

Temples of Wat Po

All the temples are symetrical and there are 4 quarangles with 4 different temples and Buddha's.

Me at one of the fountains! It was so hot I could have climbed into the pond, i thought i was going to melt.

Look at the detail on these Monuments dedicated to King's Rama 1-4.

The different pressure points used in a Thai massage are painted on the some of the walls at Wat Po. By the way.... a Thai massage is one of the most painful experiences i've been through. I felt like i had been assaulted!

More monuments...

One of the Buddha's with these cool dragons coming out from behind him. Everything done with such detail and it is all sparkly and shiny - its quite cool!

The first South African thing i've seen in a month!

One of the other Buddha's in the other temples.
