Singapore Botanical Gardens

The Singapore Botanical Gardens are absolutely beautiful. They are huge with restaurants and a theatre, big ponds, open lawns and a orchid garden that will make your jaw drop.

Walking through the evolution garden...

They run water projects and natural habitat programs throughout.

Some of the plants!

The trees in the evolution garden. Basically its a walk through time.

Elephant ear ferns!

A massive pond.

This pond is filled with turtles!

Yes, filled with turtles!

Everything is done so beautifully here. It is the most international, beautifully clean place I have ever seen. There is no litter, everything is spotless. There are more rubbish bins in SG than there are people!

Figs...these things are filled with wasp eggs...apparently its some seriously symbiotic relationship they have!

Me at one of the fountains!

They even have a rain forest in the gardens! This rain forest is what is left of what used to cover the Island of Singapore before it became developed.

Beautiful.

 The ginger garden.

Kyle behind a waterfall!

Look how huge the lilly pads are!

Ginger flower.

Statue in the garden.

The orchid garden.

Superb!

Masses of colour. Its the biggest orchid garden in the world.

Sublime!

The theatre in the gardens.

Walking out of the gardens. Is got a 10km running route going through it.

As we were leaving this is what was lying on the path!

Its got free entrance and the subway runs right to the front gate!
