Gill Oriental: Bali - Kuta and Ubud

So, we left Singapore at 6:30 am to catch our flight to Jakarta, Indonesia and then finally onto Bali. It took us an hour by subway to get there, and then an hour in the check in queue, only to find out that we couldn't check in because we didn't have a return ticket out of Indonesia and they wouldn't let us on. So, with 15 minutes to spare, somehow we managed to book a return flight and check in making it within the minute! So, we are through...then they start with the last call for the flight, so we ran to the other side of the airport to start boarding...We put our hand luggage through the scanner things and they wouldn't let me through because I had a sharp object in my bag...so they searched and searched and finally took what they needed and I got onto the plane...yes, only to have the flight delayed by half an hour...the joys of travel!!! Then we had a 4 hour wait in Jakarta for our flight to Bali which was also delayed and we finally arrived in paradise at 6:30 that evening, a subway, skytrain, 2 flights, a shuttle bus, a taxi and 12 hours later we arrived...

We stayed at the Pesona Beach Inn in Kuta - this is just the party central of Bali. Teaming with Aussies!
