Part 4 - Elephant Waterfall, The Happy Buddha and other stuff...

Arriving at the Elephant Waterfall...

Everything around it is so green and lush...

There is pretty hectic foliage around the waterfall and it was a bit of a risky climb down!

  

This waterfall is 40m wide and has a 30m drop. 

So going down 30m at a right angle is scary!

So beautiful...I've never seen a huge waterfall like this. 

The cave you go through to get to the bottom of the waterfall...

Standing almost directly under the waterfall. There was spray everywhere and my camera and hair was soaked!

It was incredible! Look at this mist coming off the breaking water.

Rocks, sky and waterfall - Gorgeous! 

Walking back on the slippery rocks and "so called" "make shift" steps - doing it in flip flops was no joke!

Minority Ethnic Groups...they hand weave everything and make stuff...pretty cool!

So lovely ad colourful! People in the Southern part of Vietnam are so friendly and colourful. 

Linh An Tu Temple...I know what you are thinking...not another one...but really they are all different and you learn something new from them all.

Did you know that the national flower of Vietnam is the Lotus and the national animal is the dragon...hence the reason they put them outside every temple and all over the show because they are a symbol of protection. 

These Buddhas are different because the left hand Buddha represents The Buddha of the past, The middle one is the Buddha of the present and the right hand side one is the Buddha of the future. 

The lady with many hands...I could do with another set...

Here is Shiva - Hindu God. Holding something different in each of his hands.

He's is HUGE! It's just so cool. Inside his belly button is a library...the monks use it! The belly button is a window! 

Looking up at Buddha...I couldn't reach his tummy to rub it for good luck so I touched his big toe!

Then we went to get some lunch at a traditional Vietnamese restaurant...Tofu, pork, rice, veg, soup....the norm! 

Anyway, this is far from normal...This is that rice wine, the 60% alcohol one with the crazy creatures in...yes, these are lizards...big ones...

They put a frikken bird in this one with lizards! Apparently the bird rice wine cures back problems! The snake rice wine cures impotency, the scorpions cure blindness and so on...I think having your knee caps shot is a safer option than trying these!

Aaaaaarrrgggghhhh...vom vom vom vom....this cures impotent men with back ache....hahahahahahahahahah.....

Some scorpions???? Oh not to worry...apparently they get de-poisoned before they get shoved in there...WHATEVER.

 I'll have a shot of each to go please....and a one way ticket to the city morgue!
