Driving to Mui Ne...

Now everyone who has read any of the blogs before will know that the buses and traveling from place to place are rather hectic. Well here are some pictures so you can see just what I mean!

The mist up in the mountains...you can barely see in front of you.

Mist in the valleys and along the mountain roads.

The speed at which they travel...about a hundred miles an hour!

The wonderful "straight" roads the bus drivers drive at 100 miles and hour in the mist!

Its such a great thing that the roads are all tarred!!! You are lucky if the road is tarred 50% of the way.

The winding roads...

More of what they look like.

Winding, winding, winding....you get so sick if you read or try and watch a movie on your laptop.

Here are some pictures of the surrounds as you drive in Vietnam. Its very beautiful.

Along the road, taken from the bus.

These are the type of buses you are in.

The inside of the bus! The roads are so bumpy, you spend most of your tie airborne anyway!

Rice paddy's along the way. Vietnam = 2nd biggest exporter of rice after Thailand.

These are mielies.

More rice paddy's. They are the most incredible green colour. Almost like lime green.

This is what you are dealing with on the roads! It looks safe doesn't it!

This is how the rice paddy's start out. Muddy pools along the way.

Taken through the front windscreen.

I'm glad the driver is on the correct side of the road...he spends most of the time in the middle or on the other side.

Dragon fruit plantations...those red things that are black and white inside.

More plantations...

And then it started to rain...like it wasn't bad enough already. So we aqua planed a few times...not that driver cares or even slows down!

Over taking some motorbikes! LOL look at the one with the raincoat over her head!

But it was all worth it! This is the hotel we booked into and this is the view from our balcony!

What a pleasure...right on the beach!

So great to be on the beach...

There are lovely deck chairs and a restaurant so you can lie in the sun and relax!

The pool...not too shabby and its beautiful and warm!

The beach right outside our hotel.

The hotel!

Hai Yen Resort! There are millions of places to stay all along the beach.

Looking from the street onto the resort.

Walking the streets of Mui - they have one main road and everything runs off the main road.

BBQ - this place is just empty spots filled with tables and chairs. During the day its empty, but at night its packed with people selling / grilling fresh seafood.

Ya...seafood...I don't know when frogs and rattle snakes became seafood!!!!!

The streets of Mui Ne - its really beautiful here...newly developed, covered in beautiful resorts and restaurants...truly quite div.

The streets at night.

They sell crocodile stuff here everywhere...bags, shoes, wallets...even stuffed crocodiles!!!

Unlucky bugger! I wonder he's doomed for...maybe a nice belt or something....

Wow! Africa in Mui Ne...

Adventure Golf!

Pretty gorg at night...But we decided we'd play in the day...
