The most wonderful place....Hoi An, Vietnam

We caught a bus from Hue to Hanoi...thankfully it was only 4 hours long. So we left at 2pm and we arrived at 6pm. The lady from the hotel was waiting at the bus stop for us and she took us back, by e-bike (electric bike).

One of the places we stopped along the way. Absolutely beautiful.

The river that runs into the ocean.

they had restaurants along on the water.

Our gorgeous room at the Luong Dong Hotel.

TV, fridge, air con and fan!

They even have a bath! YAY!

The view from our window.

Hoi An street at sunset.

Looking across the river.

Just absolutely gorgeous.

All the buildings look so quaint.

River boats you can rent for a cruise.

Cute little restaurant on the river...all of them look like this.

Walking and cycling street...means that no cars or motorbikes or scooters can go down them...what a pleasure!

Walking the streets...I could have walked all night.

Lucky amulets - stuufed hearts and birds on beaded strings.

Ceramics to die for!

There are about 300 tailors in Hoi An - they make anything and everything you want for next to nothing out of linen, silk, pure cotton in any colour you can imagine.

They play bingo in the evenings here. The winner gets a lantern, 10 000 Dong to enter which is about R3.50!

 Gorgeous Vietnamese restaurant.

Look at the size of these prawns????

All the different coloured silks...

Our hotel...we have been so lucky with accommodation. Everyone has been amazing and helpful and friendly and assisted with our every need.
