Luang Prabang Night Market

There are always things in certain cities that are a must...the night market in Luang Prabang is one of them. Its pretty amazing, I walked through it on numerous occasions and found very nice things to post home for my Mum and Dad!

Luang Prabang Night Market

The market stretches for about 1kn where they close the main road and set up all their stalls.

Hundreds are different stalls filled with traditional Lao clothing, curios and handmade products.

Hand painted scroll type things.

Decorated with monks.

Beautiful Laotian textiles.

Bibs for babies - all handmade!

Everything is just such beautiful colours.

Lao coffee, ginger tea and green tea all come in these cute handmade bags!

Lao slippers and they look so comfi.

Different packaging for the coffee and tea.

Bags made from recycled paper.

The food market is down one of the side alleys off the market. You pay a certain amount and you can fill your plate with all the foods they have on their table.

It's really nice and everything is fresh and tasty.

Lemongrass fish - an absolute winner! Braai'd to perfection on an open fire.

One of the tables you can get food from. They have tables and beers and everything so you can sit in the market.

Really delicious.

Dumplings through to pickled bamboo through to noodle soup through to chicken kebabs...

The food market

And then they go and ruin it all by selling walky talky's....
