Mekong Cruise

Going for a cruise down the Mekong on a beautiful Sunday evening was splendid. We went for an hour and half sunset cruise on cute blue boat!

This is the boat that carries vehicles and motorbikes from one side of the river to the other.

It was such a relaxing experience, the river is magnificent.

We went with a 2 people from our guesthouse, Nate and Teresa, and  Gio who met at the cooking course.

The water has a pretty strong current.

The boat driver was such a friendly, lovely man. 

The boat driver just turned the engine off and we floated the entire way back to the jetty with the current.

The river is pretty empty but it fills up a lot after monsoon season.

There after we went for a quick bite and then off to the bowling alley...too much fun!
