What to do on a Friday night in Luang Prabang...

Well to start with you'd walk down to the Mekong and find a cafe on the water and have a sundowner.

You would make sure you found a cafe with a great view! They serve their beer with ice because it's so hot here, everything gets warm in about 5 minutes!

Then you'd watch the gorgeous sunset and all the fishing boats and fishermen with their nets getting set up for some evening catching.

Then  you would enjoy it some more and think that you never want to leave this place!

Then you'd chill and chat and chat and chat and talk and think about all the other nice places we are going to visit....

Then perhaps you'd take a stroll through the Luang Prabang night market and see all the wonderful stalls and curios and all things Lao!

Divine Lao coffee, Lao food, traditional clothing and jewelry, embroidery, hand made goodies...its the best market I've seen.

Fruit shakes....are what make life worth living. Fresh fruit, blended with ice...beyond delicious.

Then you'd think about dinner...maybe a baguette with nutella or peanut butter on...maybe a mixture...

But it's so much nicer and so much cheaper to Laos food at a restaurant.

All the restaurants are beautiful, everything is glam and you could be in a restaurant in Paris for all you knew.

Coconut Garden...very nice!

Then you'd take a long stroll back to the guesthouse, maybe play some cards and chat with other people staying there....and that would be a good Friday night!
